The great folks at Fratello blew our collective watch-loving minds once they announced the “Speedy Tuesday” Speedmaster special edition, a wrist watch born of the collaboration with Omega and in line with the legendary ’78 Project Alaska III Speedmaster. Today, they try to make a level bigger splash (and guess what happens, I believe they been successful!) using the Fast Tuesday 2 “Ultraman,” a wrist watch lovingly inspired through the orange-accented Speedmaster observed in japan series, Return of Ultraman (incidentally, Netflix just greenlit an Ultraman anime!). The originals are highly searched for after watches and thinking about the ST2 Ultraman is restricted to simply 2012 pieces, I fully expect those to be, too.

Most apparent is a vital orange chronograph seconds hands

It’s lifted right out the original. But Fratello’s Robert-Jan Broer took it further, shedding additional orange accents through the watch. The little squares over the elongated hrs makers are orange, much like the language “Speedmaster” around the dial and “Tachymètre” around the bezel. Around the minutes totalizer at three, you’ll discover the first three markers in orange too, that is a playful nod towards the show (Ultraman could last only three minutes in the powered form). And also the provided woven mil-strap is accented having a vibrant orange stripe.

There are several other great flourishes here

There’s an applied emblem right below twelve, and also the dial is walked-nods to Speedmasters of yesteryear. The luminous paint is parchment toned instead of classic white-colored. In the seconds register at nine, the classic stick hands is substituted for a custom one. Also at nine, and possibly this is actually the coolest detail of (okay, I fully admit to as being a giant dork), there is a hidden orange silhouette of Ultraman in profile that illuminates whenever you shine a Ultra violet light around the dial.

Apart from that, you receive all of the mainstays of the modern Speedmaster, included in this a Hesalite very and Omega’s 1861 caliber.
